The WeLL Academy is dedicated to developing tailor-made education programs that support users to stimulate the implementation of eHealth solutions.
Digital healthcare technologies, both preventive and curative, have a wide range of end-users such as students, healthcare professionals, policymakers and, of course, patients and citizens. All these groups need different knowledge and skills to master new techniques and applications.
For healthcare professionals, this is twofold; not only do they need to become familiar with using a digital healthcare application themselves, but it is also essential that they can guide patients in using it. However, working with these applications is not (yet) embedded in the various (para)medical education programmes, which means that healthcare providers do not always have the right skills to use these tools efficiently in their daily practice.
